"Royal" Battlemechs...
So in preparation for this campaign. I'm first looking at the mechs that will be available to each of the factions. With the release of the 3075 Tech Readout, some mechs were added to all parties that took part in the battles on Tukayyid.
Mainly what I'm speaking about are the "Royal" battlemechs...reserved for the 'Royal battalions' of the original Star League. Well When Kerensky took the original Star League army on the Exodus...with him went most of the Royal Battalions. The few Royal mechs that were left behind were most likely on Terra...and those fell into the hands of ComStar.
I will be adding all the "Royal" mechs to each list. The Availability number will be an 8+ for the Clanners, and will be an 11+ for the ComGuards.
You can see all of the "Royal" mech on the following link. Most of the time they have a lowercase letter at the end of their model Number. For example...The "Royal" Stinger would be STG-3Gb.

More rough ideas...
Give each clan a couple of named characters "Khans, Aiden Pryde, Nathasha Kerensky, Phelan Wolf, Goliath Khan..." They can use until that character dies.
Each Named character has an assigned mech they can not change. (IE...Nathasha in her Daishi Widowmaker, Phelan in the Wolfhound IIC)
These named players will be the only 1/2 or better pilots in the campaign.
Maybe work in an overall tonnage or force pool and try to get bidding into the set up.
Once clans have been selected. Each clan can bid how many mechs and their tonnage they are willing to field to take the 2 cities they need to.
Set up the 7 starting tiles on the map, and those that bid the lowest get first pick.
Clan selection will be based upon finishing standings in the Olympiad.
Still working out if we will base the fights on tonnage or BV
How to limit skills of clan warriors.
Tie Comguard skills to the tile they are on / defending. Elite, Vet, Reg, or Green.
Work out hidden mech rules.

Two players per clan, All other run Comstar against those players.
Use Planetary empires map. Set up map, with certain tiles having scenarios based upon the Tukayyid sourcebook.
Each Clan must take their two designated cities.
Add stats and rules for Royal mechs.
Maybe two games at once.
No Infantry for Comstar. Clanners limited to a max of two stars of elementals, and elementals can never outnumber mechs.
